My journey to the banks of the Charles River began in the high valleys of the Himalayas, along the banks of a tributary of the Indus.  Five decades of meandering later, I live in Boston and am an investor in information and technology companies.  In between these bookends are degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration from Yale and Harvard, decades of work at some of the leading firms in Management Consulting, Investment Banking and Private Equity and work and travel experiences on five continents.  A son of teachers and a father of students, I enjoy reading, listening and absorbing information about politics, economics, technology, sciences and the arts.  Most importantly, I strive to push myself, and now hopefully the readers of this blog, to learn, to think about, to understand and to critique the many new ideas and paradigms that are changing our world. In these, somewhat disorienting times, nothing is a greater expression of our collective humanity.

To quote the French poet Antoine Léonard Thomas’ elucidation of René Descartes famous words:

Dubito, Ergo Cogito, Ergo Sum

I Doubt, Therefore I Think, Therefore I Am
